The exhibition immerses us in the rich and complex history of several centuries of exchanges and encounters between the cultures and civilisations that intersected in Central Asia on the territory of Uzbekistan. The scenography aims to convey the sophistication of the objects on display, and to take visitors on a journey through time, history and a distant land of marvellous architecture, through a careful and refined presentation of the works, a fluid and obvious spatial organisation, a concentrated itinerary where the exhibition is constructed as a unique experience, and a contextualisation of the works through subtle graphic means and ambitious multimedia devices. The overall ambience of the exhibition is subdued, with subtle lighting and a deep blue background. To unify the space and enhance the magical experience, we projected onto the stone vaults the complex patterns that are omnipresent in Uzbek architecture.
