The National Museums Foundation has chosen to transform the historic Dar El Jamaï Palace in Meknes into a museum dedicated to music. The musical heritage of Morocco is celebrated through a true multi-sensory experience offered to the public. Some of the most beautiful examples of musical instruments are on display as witnesses to a rich tradition. Music is also approached as a living practice, anchored in society: in the museum, music and dance accompany the visitor throughout the tour through soundtracks and videos.
