bgc studio is invited in 2019 to participate in the international competition for the construction of the future national museum of archaeology and sciences of the earth, within a Franco-Moroccan team.
The MNAST is part of the long time, the time of memory, the time of the transmission of the heritage of the Moroccan land to present and future generations. It aims to be a large open and accessible museum, but also a museum-laboratory addressed to an audience of specialists.
The exhibition spaces are organized on three levels that follow the natural slope of the ground and that are inhabited by very different spaces: a deep fault, a vast stone room, a giant aquarium containing dinosaurs, a wall of rock drawings, a vast space dedicated to the city of Volubilis, as well as more intimate spaces for the refined objects of Islamic art.
