JADID MUSEUM — USMAN KHODJAEV’S HOUSE, BUKHARA, OUZBEKISTAN, 2024
READ MORE
Usman Khodjaev’s House is an example of a typical Uzbek residential building organized around a courtyard and oriented toward the interior.
To fulfill its new role as a museum, an architectural intervention on the building’s exterior envelope would enhance its visibility within the urban landscape.
The Jadid Museum exhibition will shed light on the Jadid political movement and its main figures through a rich collection consisting primarily of books, writings, and personal belongings of Usman Khodjaev and his contemporaries.
