The exhibition sheds light on the history of a diverse community of eastern Christianity and the major role it has played in the Near East, in the political, cultural, social, and religious arenas. Some of the masterpieces of Christian heritage have been presented. The scenographic approach captures both the power of geographical anchoring and the current fragility of the Eastern Churches. Faced with the complexity of the subject, the design helps to create lines of continuity, notably through a characterization of the spaces dedicated to the liturgy and an attention to the Arabic language.
