To present at the Franciscaines the magnificent collection of photographs by Irving Penn (1917 - 2009), the famous American photographer known for his evocative images of fashion, portraits and still life, we have proposed a minimalist, pure scenography. It takes as its starting point the works and the spatial quality of the space to create a fluid, generous space that presents the works as a whole, but also allows each work to be viewed and appreciated. The scenography was constructed from existing wall modules, treated as blocks that have been composed, lifted or interlocked. According to Tom Penn, the director of the Irving Penn Foundation, the exhibition in Deauville was one of the most elegant exhibitions dedicated to the famous photographer that he had ever seen.
