The aim of the exhibition is to help visitors understand the rich culture and history of Europe's Romani populations, but also the discrimination to which they are subjected. The scenography, developed in dialogue with the international scientific committee, seeks to place the visitor not only in the role of observer, but also as an emotionally engaged actor. Four “guides” from the Romani community virtually guide the public through a collective history through their personal stories. The scenography is punctuated by highlights such as a “chapel of remembrance”, which pays tribute to the persecution of Roma in concentration camps, an “anti-Gypsyism corridor”, which immerses us in ordinary anti-Gypsyism, or the “Gadjo Museum”, an artistic parody imagined by artist Gabi Jimenez and materialized by our office.
